A compact city model

  • Strategic line aimed at promoting a compact city, which grows primarily within the current urban core and reduces urban sprawl over the territory, taking advantage of all opportunities to transform spaces and areas and inspired by the concept of “the city with everything 15 minutes away”.

Protecting the natural environment: the Anella Verda (Green Ring)

  • To develop the Anella Verda project, on a territory of 4,400 Ha, guaranteeing the survival of the ecological connectors that protect the city, recovering the economic functionalities of the fields, improving the 35 km circular road, promoting the activity of the farmhouses and the primary sector and encouraging a social and responsible use of the entire natural environment.
  • New Ordinance for public use of the Anella Verda: protection of the natural, rural and cultural heritage.

New vision of green spaces and urban biodiversity

  • To focus the conceptualization, planning and management of urban green spaces both to the needs of people and also to the living conditions and biodiversity of the vegetation and fauna living in it, relating the system of urban parks and green spaces, the Green Belt and the connections with the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt.

Transformation of urban stretches of streams: renaturation and security

  • Promote a global project for the transformation of Terrassa’s streams (17 kilometers long, of which 7 are urban).
  • Promote two transformation projects, in a section of the Arenas stream and a section of the Riera del Palau (presented to the Next Generation-European Union fund).
  • Actions and projects for cleaning, improvement, rehabilitation, reconstruction and safety systems for streams.

Sustainable and quality productive spaces: a new perspective on industrial parks.

  • Participatory process with the aim of improving the quality and services in the industrial parks (665 Ha), promoting sustainable mobility and energy transition, strengthening the industrial fabric of the city and improving its competitive positioning.
